Information we collect

When you contact Urban Arb Consulting or instruct us to carry out work, we may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, site or property address and details about your enquiry or project.

Depending on the service required, we may also receive photographs, plans, reports or other documents relevant to the site. Where services are commissioned, we may retain correspondence, project records, quotations, invoices and payment information.

Our website may also collect limited technical information through cookies or similar technologies where these are enabled.

How we use your information

Personal information is used primarily to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange site visits and provide arboricultural consultancy services.

Where you instruct us, information may also be used in the preparation of surveys, reports, plans, tree work applications or other documents associated with the project. We may retain appropriate records after an instruction has been completed for business, insurance, tax, professional or legal purposes.

The lawful basis for processing will depend on the circumstances. In most cases, information is processed because it is necessary to respond to a request, take steps before entering into a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation or pursue the legitimate interests of operating a professional consultancy.

We do not sell personal information.

Sharing information

Personal information is only shared where there is a genuine reason to do so.

This may include sharing relevant information with professional advisers, insurers, accountants, IT or website providers, contractors or other consultants involved in supporting the service.

Where a project requires it, relevant information may also be submitted to a local planning authority or another statutory body. For example, this may occur where Urban Arb Consulting is instructed to prepare or submit a tree work application or planning-related document on your behalf.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information held about you, request that inaccurate information is corrected, ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances, restrict how it is used or object to certain types of processing.

You can make a request by contacting: info@urbanarbconsulting.uk. There is normally no charge for exercising your data protection rights.

Cookies and third-party websites

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function correctly. Other cookies may be used where additional website features or analytics are enabled.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, those cookies should not be activated until consent has been provided.

The website may also contain links to third-party websites. Urban Arb Consulting is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external websites.
